Yorgo Glynatsis is a Belgian, Greek, and Italian BAFTA and BIFA Qualified film director based in London whose bold, emotionally resonant work as a director, writer, producer, and actor has been featured on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Tubi. He is a member of Directors UK and a voting member of the Belgian Film Academy (Académie André Delvaux). Known for his commitment to amplifying marginalized voices, Glynatsis creates powerful, thought-provoking stories that challenge social norms and spotlight underrepresented communities.

His award-winning directorial debut Trigger (mentored by Netflix’s One Piece actor Taz Skylar), exploring consent, secured international distribution through These Untold Secrets on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Tubi. He also co-directed Well Proud, an award winning short docu series commissioned by Metro Charity UK, focusing on mental health within Black, POC, and Global Majority queer communities.

Glynatsis directed Koupepia, a British Greek Cypriot film which was BAFTA and BIFA Qualified for Best British Short Film. He is currently developing his first feature documentary, Alpha Men: Reframing Masculinity, in collaboration with BAFTA Nominated and Oscar Shortlisted cinematographer/producer Yiannis Manolopoulos. The documentary is a bold social experiment that investigates modern masculinity through diverse male perspectives.
Beyond filmmaking, Yorgo is also a speaker and advocate for representation in the arts. He was recently invited to speak on the panel of Beyond the Rainbow, an event hosted by NELFT NHS Foundation Trust, where he discussed LGBTQ+ wellbeing and the impact of queer representation in UK media, politics, and the arts. He was also interviewed for the Queer Global Project about his experiences as a queer immigrant in the UK and how his films amplify unheard voices. The interview will be archived at the Bishopsgate Institute, home to the UK’s largest LGBTQIA+ archives.

Passionate about nurturing new talent, Glynatsis has recently been mentoring emerging BAFTA Connect Member writer/director Sharon Sibyl Gatt on her neurodivergent award winning short film, Decode Me, continuing his commitment to championing inclusive storytelling both on and off screen.
